Thank you for writing this! It made me think about how honesty and integrity (in the moral sense but also the sense of being complete) are intertwined. It’s nice to relate these “big” thoughts to everyday life.

Thank you for connecting the dots of believing the lies that plutocracy puts out plunders my integrity in blind acceptance. Your price of peace was $250.00 - yet the example for your son - priceless. Even though he may not intellectual know- I'm sure that the way you carry yourself in your body - in integrity - transmits to him. Thank you again Elizabeth.

Thank you, Elizabeth, for such a beautiful and candid reflection. Thank you also for the link to your interview with Anne Snyder which was absolutely riveting and so passionate!

One day, I hope I may be able to tell you about the Anchorhold community which flourished as a small school of contemplative prayer way back in the late 60's and early 70's. it's compost now, of course, which I feel is a hopeful condition: it should be sprinkled here and there, to benefit new growth.

This really struck a chord! Sometimes, trustworthiness feels like an even harder path to choose in a society that valorizes getting away with things. (Also am in accord with the poetry of your prayer; one that I turn to regularly is “Are you f#€king kidding me?”)
